What is an EPC(Energy Performance Certificate)?

An EPC is a document prepared by a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor,showing the current energy rating of a property as well as its impact on the environment



The document will contain some recommendations as to how the property might be made more energy efficient and its adverse impact on the environment minimised.Before a property can be put on the market or made available for rent,it is neccessary to have commissioned an EPC.
An EPC is also required if a property is to be rented out under a short term tenancy agreement.
I can also prepare floor plans for a property.These can often be useful if a property is being sold and can be part of the marketing material.Both an epc and floor plans can be offered from as little as £69,depending on the type of property.

Prices for an epc start at £39 and for an epc and floor plans at £69.

How long does it take?

I will undertake to turn the epc round in 2 working days from instructions being received.The survey itself will normally take in the region of 45 minutes,depending on the size of the property.
